What is this?

Big Dawgs Gotta Eat is just a place where we talk about food we like to eat. And the why behind it! I'm not a food scientist or anything, so I wont get super technical on the science behind it, just why a dish tastes good in my opinion. Mainly just thoughts and experiences with different dishes.

At the end of the day I just want to talk and write about food.

Anyways!!! The Name!

It just sounds cool and it's kinda funny to me!

Big Dawgs Gotta Eat!

During my time on the crew team, some of my friends would say it frequently, mainly cause we were hungry ALL the time!

Whether it was chasing new Personal Records on the erg rowing machine, lifting heavier weights than last month, or even just getting a really good grade on an exam or paper! But the more common reason was just wanting to eat a big meal after a good practice haha!

So I guess it's just a little fun quote to try your best on whatever you're doing!!

The DOG!

It's an Akita inu!! Recently, I was fortunate enough to visit the beautiful country of Japan! The cities are truly amazing but you gotta love the random rural towns in the middle of nowhere! I booked a random tickets to towns I knew nothing about and explored Akita prefecture!

Walked out of the train station and was greeted by a huge Akita inu! There wasn't much to do in town other than hangout, play and learn about these dogs!

It was my first time seeing & hearing about these dogs actually... they get overshadowed by the smaller but just as adorable Shiba inu.

These are some of the fluffiest and nicest dogs, who are known for being incredibly loyal (the famous story of Hachiko and its dog statue near Shibuya crossing!)
From chatting with some of their owners, they also have a huge appetite! They enjoy the good stuff and generally ignore the regular dog kibble haha!

And that pretty much wraps up what this page is about! Talking about delicious food with wonderful people! As well as doing the things you love with all your effort!
