Bakery Overload👩🍳
Appreciate all of the bakers!

Sometimes when I visit bakeries I tend to go overboard and buy/taste everything they have haha!
They say "cooking is art and baking is a science" and I can agree to that. When I cook I normally don't measure things out and just do a pinch of salt, an extra 'glug' of fish sauce or whatever I need just to make sure the food tastes nice.
But try doing that with baked goods... it wouldn't work out too well. Measurements of ingredients need to be precise not to forget all the other factors like humidity, temperature, even the water. Baking is hard, so shout out and respect to all the bakers out there! Your work is so appreciated and you bring lots of happiness to the world!
As you can see I bought a bunch of different items, from cheese tarts, sponge cakes, canolis and doughnuts. Even a jelly cup with an actual sakura flower in the center! All so delicious!

The flavors were so bold but subtle enough to let all of the other ingredients shine as well! They were all in perfect harmony! Especially the local fruits used! Cherries, yuzu, berry, apples all in the perfect sweetness and applications!
There is something that Japanese bakeries do that no other places can replicate. The perfect sweetness thats not too sweet and harsh. Just enough to excite the palette. Softness thats unmatched, flakiness thats so crispy and layered to perfection. All while being beautifully packaged and presented!
I wish I had some good coffee tho! This was some instant coffee at my homestay haha, but better than nothing I guess!
I appreciate all of the time and effort that these bakeries put just for our short time of enjoyment! Please go out to your favorite bakery today and support them!
One last thing was a funny one! So I left the store, and maybe started walking. Then a few minutes pass and I hear these footsteps getting louder and louder! I turn around and the lady running the bakery ran to give me my change! Japanese hospitality is so wonderful! Truly the sweetest people!
Short and sweet!
