Korean Army Stew - Noodles so Spicy, Denmark Banned Them
Buldak noodles were so spicy they were banned in Denmark, enjoy while you can!
What happens when you mix Spicy, Salty, Savory, Chewy, Cheesy all together? You get a Korean Army Stew!
This stuff is seriously addicting stuff, pretty easy to make too! It's pretty much an amalgamation of carbs, cured meats,/protein, and cheese. What can be better than that?? It'll be pretty hard to top it right??!!! But let's break it down!
Prepare a packet of the Buldak noodles
Tteokbokki (Korean rice cakes)
Meat: Cold cuts/ spam/ chicken (your preference), can even use tin fish (tuna), or whatever you have laying around
Cheese!!! (Something that melts well, American, provolone, gouda, etc)
Green onions to cut the richness
And a nice cold drink to wash it down!

Essentially in 2024, the noodles were banned (by the government) for being too spicy because the capsaicin (a metric to measure spiciness) was too high for human consumption, and claiming that it could poison a person.
For a few weeks, the noodles were not being sold on store shelves. But because of the online and local communities stirring up a ruckus, it made enough noise to bring the Buldak noodles back to Denmark about a month later.
And Buldak noodles came back in style with a ferry and community party celebrating it's return back to Denmark!!
