Right to Repair but Kitchen Knives Edition
I'd be pretty annoyed if my knife was one time use and the company who manufactured it told me I couldn't sharpen it.

This happens all too often in the tech industry both hardware and software. I.E. Spotify's car thing, Tesla revoking one time payments for the Self Driving feature pushing for a subscription base, Adobe Apps, Google Nest thermostats, etc.

This is not a great business practice for consumers. For they are paying for something and they don't really own it and the goods they purchase just end up becoming a paper weight or e-waste over the years.
So, it's unsustainable and bad for the environment too.
But a product like a good chef's knife where the blade can be honed and sharpened if it's damaged, or even replace the handle if needed to be replaced can last a life time and even be passed down from generation to generation.
Don't let the corporate greed take over. Vote with your dollar, pay and support the smaller local vendors, buy food from a small mom and pop restaurant, the people behind it will appreciate it more.
Purchase a good that can be repaired and has a no-frills warranty when manufactured poorly or damaged.
Find the best solution and don't be lazy when scouting for your favorite products and services.
One cool thing I saw recently was the Framework laptops. Very Repair friendly and user upgradable.
Get creative, want to support the artist, buy the CD, merch, Tickets, Mp3 file.
Get an old iPod where you actually own the music, where Spotify can revoke you access whenever they want.
Own the things you consume!
