Who is this dude?
My name is Albert and I am still trying to figure things out like everybody else.
Well... I'm interested in a lot of things. One obviously being food & cooking.

Growing up we only had a few channels on our TV and one of them was the food network. So Diner dive-ins & dives, and unwrapped were always playing in the back! Then I just kept watching more food shows from time to time. Like Anthony Bourdain's No reservations & Part's Unknown.
During university I had to learn how to cook cause it was cheaper and I met some great cooks on my rowing team! Shoutout Simonwhey!
They really got me more interested in food and it actually got me to start a little pop up restaurant in my apartment! Whippin' up some good food for friends and classmates was a fun little project!
Fast forward a few years later, I was still so interested in food. Would watch cooking videos on YouTube for fun, and so I kept cooking and trying out new recipes.
Then the travel bug began to itch... Don't get me wrong, American food is great but there is a whole world of cuisine to explore!
So I signed up for the Peace Corps and it took me to the lovely island of Timor-Leste! Diak ka lae mau nia maun no mana Timoroan sira, viva Timor loronloron!!! / How are you Timorese brothers and sisters, long live Timor everyday!
I was a community economic development (business) volunteer and my classes always seemed to turn into cooking classes for some odd reason...
It was a business lessons on "value added" to different products. And we can add value by chopping, cooking, and or baking these ingredients haha! It was really a fun time teaching how to cook different dishes, and my students and participants really enjoyed it as well! A double win, cause we had a tasty treat at the end of it too!
Then the world was on halt for a little bit, so I took some random jobs along the way, built a bunch of random projects, and still wanted to take on the world! And so I decided for round 2 of Peace Corps, but this time in Fiji!
Some similarities on this tour because I continued my business and cooking classes!
This was a fun challenge! Also, I explored different creatives avenues as well, because I wrote Fijian haikus, ran a website/newsletter & printed a book as well! Check it out if you'd like! 👇

I have been fortunate enough to explore these foreign lands and taste some amazing food along the way! You'll find the most amazing dishes and meals in the most random places!
Thanks for reading this far, really appreciate the support! Looking forward to launching this!
